Sorry again Keith, I'm always away it seems

lizzied   on 07/10/17 @ 22:49 said:

Sorry from me too Keith! I'm working yet again that Saturday!
Just done leg 5 today with a friend. Only had a very old Landranger map which didn't have the GW marked on it. The signage was very sporadic so not sure how much of our route was actually off- piste!!

keith2015   on 09/10/17 @ 13:26 said:

Shame about that Lizzie. If you need to do a catchup on this section too then you might want to invest in a new map. They aren’t expensive if you buy them on-line through Dash4it. Hope you’ll be able to make the next leg anyway

Peregrina   on 11/10/17 @ 16:40 said:

Oh no. I can't do that weekend as I have a friend staying - and she doesn't walk! I was so hoping I could do this one with everyone as there is a little secret gem along the way I wanted to share.

Peregrina   on 11/10/17 @ 16:42 said:

The Skimmington is a lovely pub, as is the Dolphin in Betchworth which is also on (or very near) the route. Although I guess the Skim is more half way than the Dolphin so better for a lunch stop.

Bike and Boat   on 12/10/17 @ 21:49 said:

Anyone else want/need to catch up stage 5 beforehand, let me know.

keith2015   on 15/10/17 @ 9:37 said:

Rick: As Ingrid can't make it on 18th Nov, how about you do a Stage 5 catchup on 18th Nov, and I move Stage 6 to either 2nd December or a date in January? Neither Cattermole nor Heathervalley have done Stage 5 so if they can walk on 18 Nov you will probably have them for the catchup.

Heathervalley   on 18/10/17 @ 22:22 said:

I haven't done any of the previous stages of the Greensands Way, just intended to do one section of it. I would very much like to walk parts of the coastline of Kent.

Heathervalley   on 18/10/17 @ 22:37 said:

Well I'd like to walk all of it. I realise that your walk is inland though.

Bike and Boat   on 21/10/17 @ 13:12 said:

Hi Keith, sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I was waiting for a date to check for clashes; all ok. I'm hoping to do it before then and your section as well. Don't change your date for me. Anyone out there for the 11/12th or 4/5th Nov?

lizzied   on 30/10/17 @ 17:05 said:

Sorry Keith, I’m working that day- again!!!

Cattermole   on 07/11/17 @ 15:55 said:

I don’t think I’ll be able to do this now I’m afraid.

keith2015   on 09/11/17 @ 22:44 said:

I might bring a friend on the walk, and am happy for others to do likewise. It would be nice to know soon if some of you "maybe"s are definitely going to come on the walk or not though...

Heathervalley   on 09/11/17 @ 23:02 said:

Happy to help with car shuttling, dogs are very welcome in my car.

keith2015   on 11/11/17 @ 9:10 said:

Hi Heather: do I take it you have a dog and would therefore prefer the car shuttling?
Dave: Feel free to re-join the walk if you find your not working. If you do, please give me a ring though re the transport arrangements and your dog. Thanks.

Heathervalley   on 11/11/17 @ 9:58 said:

No I don't have a dog, unfortunately. I'm happy to use a bus/share a taxi, or whatever is easiest for you and other walkers.

Bike and Boat   on 12/11/17 @ 15:25 said:

I'm happy to shuttle, I can fit three. A dog is not a problem either.

Wysiwyg    on 14/11/17 @ 11:57 said:

I'm sorry Keith but unfortunately I can't make this now. Jill

Elderflower   on 14/11/17 @ 12:22 said:

Nor me

Rick: Following our correspondence I hope you are happy with the updated arrangements I've posted above, namely for you and I to meet in the Bletchingley Arms car park (postcode RH1 2PE) at 08.45-09.00 and for you to drive Roma and I to the start point in the National Trust car park at Toys Hill (postcode TN16 1QG, Grid Reference: 470517) for 09.30. After the walk I will drive all four of us back to Toys Hill so you and Heather can pick up your cars there.

If anyone else wants to join the walk at this rather late stage you are very welcome. Please let me know that you are coming though and meet us at the start point at 09.30.

Heathervalley   on 17/11/17 @ 13:55 said:

Very sorry Keith, just come home from work feeling unwell. Don't know if it was chemicals someone was using where I was working, or something I've eaten during my sponsored vegan diet month. Just don't know how I'll feel tomorrow. It's a lovely sunny day here with a clear sky, perfect for walking.

H&B   on 17/11/17 @ 16:17 said:

Hi Keith.
Yes i know it's late but i will be up for a walk tomorrow and as it it by the post i should go to the start TN16 see you in the morning.

Hi Doug
No probs, See you at Toys Hill at 09.30. I'll leave the Zafira in Bletchingley so space for more to return to Toys Hill after the walk if anyone else wants to come.
