As a general rule YHA don't allow dogs on their campsites, better check that!

Elderflower   on 17/08/17 @ 9:16 said:

Thanks Womble but I wouldn't have put it on without checking first. It is very clear on their website dogs are permitted on their campsite but ?5 charge if you hire bell tent. Free if you are in your own tent. No access inside though.

womble   on 17/08/17 @ 14:50 said:

Elderflower: That's good to hear, I've frequently missed out because of that rule. I wonder if it's an organization wide change or just this one; I'll certainly be looking into it for future trips.

Elderflower   on 17/08/17 @ 15:05 said:

It could well be a franchise YH because I also received a thank you/welcome email after my booking which is very unusual so that might explain it!

ray9   on 14/09/17 @ 10:59 said:

You couldn't have picked a better stop over, Beer !!!, which of course is very nice.
Let me know nearer the time.

Ray - I'll keep you updated and yes a rather fitting place to stay for us lot!

This is a lovely section, but quite an obstacle course with seemed like hundreds of people on the Beach on a very hot June day 2012,to reach the Golden Cap,which i hope that you may wish to extend this walk

keith2015   on 23/03/18 @ 17:06 said:

Hi Adele
I'd love to partake in consuming your yummy chilli on Friday evening so yes please to that - and I'll go for the bangers and mash at the Anchor on Saturday evening too please.
(I have to work until 6pm on Thursday so will be driving down very early on Good Friday - hope the traffic's OK)

Elderflower   on 24/03/18 @ 22:31 said:

Heathervalley: I’ve only put one web address on the invite so not sure what menu you are looking at but it is not the one above. Fish and chips, grilled salmon or scampi are the fish options. If I don’t hear from you by tomorrow I will put you down for the salmon as I have to let pub know. Thanks

Twotone   on 25/03/18 @ 15:59 said:

Hi Adele. Thanks for organising this.
Sorry for the late reply; I have had problems with my leg, and was not sure whether I would pull out of the weekend. Been walking yesterday and today and decided to still come.
Chilli would be good, and for Saturday night Lamb Shank please.
See you there
PS Have noticed that there is Exmouth – Sidmouth Bus
(Stagecoach 157) leaving 16.32 arriving 17.24 and there are buses between Lyme Regis and Seaton (Stagecoach 9A) at – 16.31 and 18.27. Not sure whether this helps - I think I have my facts right.

Philtheetiler   on 25/03/18 @ 22:38 said:

twotone56: Have I missed something ?? As I thought we were walking from Exmouth to Sidmouth

Elderflower   on 26/03/18 @ 9:11 said:

Philtheetiler: You are right, meeting at Sidmouth and shuttling to Exmouth and back but thanks two tone and defo consider a bus for Sunday from Lyme. I did look and I couldn't find one! We can chat about that when we are there.

Ingrid is meeting us at Exmouth as nearer from where she is staying so if anyone else is coming from a different direction and wants to do the same please let me know! See you all Friday!

Twotone   on 28/03/18 @ 10:23 said:

Philtheetiler: Well spotted - yes walking was the idea
Elderflower: There is a Sidmouth to Exmouth bus - Stagecoach 157 – 10.30 arriving 11.21. It leaves from the Triangle which is near the Manor Road Car Park but it goes to Exmouth Leisure Centre which is not particularly convenient. Might help.

Elderflower   on 28/03/18 @ 17:02 said:

twotone56: Thank you for your efforts but maybe I did see and thought it far too late. I want to meet at 9.30 as planned and therefore shuttle and hopefully start walk much earlier than if travelling by that bus.

Anyone not attending Friday's walk, who haven't let me know already please contact me on number above so we are not waiting for you! Thank you

JayKay   on 28/03/18 @ 18:23 said:

I am new to Outdoordua and would like to join you on the Saturday and Sunday. I have booked bnb in Beer but would like to join for the evening Pub meet on Saturday and the Friday chilli If it is not too late. Do i need to bring/ do/book anything? If i can still order for Saturday the lamb shank would be my preference.

Well and Truly   on 29/03/18 @ 8:10 said:

Elderflower: Heading out early from Portsmouth to get there for the Friday walk, but all depends on traffic. Hopefully make it, but will text if we encounter problems.

mirador   on 29/03/18 @ 9:51 said:

Hi Adele. I am sorry to say that something has blown up here which means that I have had to abandon my plans for this weekend. I have cancelled my reservation at the youth hostel so that will be open if anyone else is still looking for accommodation. I can let the pub know re Saturday or will you be in touch with them to confirm final numbers anyway?

Elderflower   on 29/03/18 @ 11:17 said:

JayKay: Yes it is late in the day but all ODers always welcome. As you can see from above I have a last minute drop out so have to re contact the pub again anyway and I will replace Graham's choice with yours. Look forward to meeting you. Adele

Elderflower   on 29/03/18 @ 11:22 said:

mirador: I have confirmed numbers but as you can see JayKay wants to join us so I will email now and hopefully they can swap the menu choice. I have pm'd you.

JayKay   on 29/03/18 @ 21:01 said:

Thanks Adele. I hope you have a great walk to,or row and I’ll see you tomorrow evening.
