I have been in a relationship for 2 years now with someone that I met through the site! It is a great site, so thank you for the friends that I have made and the great times that I have had as a result of it.

Hi Steve. Thanks for letting me have a reasonable experience at an affordable price. I have been very fortunate to have found a really lovely man!

Another trek I'd love to do, but once again will have to wait and see what my work schedule is. One question though - do you like dogs? I walk with mine which can be a problem staying in bunkhouses and YHs.

OK Folks - keep me posted. Twood be good to get some company. Ill be driving up from Wishaw and can do a wee detour if someone wants a lift.

I'm OK with dogs but check with the hostel/bunkhouse

womble   on 31/05/17 @ 7:29 said:

I will check if there is any possibility of me doing this, but there is the campsite at Sheilbridge, and given the location of the YH, I'm sure there is wild camping close by. YHs do not allow dogs to even camp on the grounds. I'll also have to check my fitness - haven't carried a back for 10 miles since last Autumn!

I would love to do this but. Can't until Mid July.

Alias   on 03/06/17 @ 19:32 said:

Definitely interested but likewise can't do that weekend. I have 27,28,29th free if any good or then weekends in July. More time in August.

Thanks for all the interest. I'm keen to avoid bad weather so may move the date. I will update my findings/date nearer the time..... Cheers

androo   on 06/06/17 @ 19:47 said:

No updates yet - just watching for the weather as we approach the date

Not going to be able to organise any backpacking until I'm settled into my new job and have a proper schedule.

androo: watching for weather as approach what date ??
As Alias could do 27,28 29th as in Scotland before this.

Philtheetiler   on 16/06/17 @ 9:28 said:

How much nearer the time will you update and confirm this is still on ??
I will be travelling to Scotland tomorrow and will not be connected to internet when there

Hi - just got back from my Blair Atholl trip so have been off line. Weather does not look good for Kintail on the 23rd June so I'd say its a no-go for that date. Iv'e done the 'Brothers' ridge from Cluanie Inn to Kintail Lodge in poor weather and it is distinctly unpleasant.

androo   on 16/06/17 @ 20:10 said:

I will consider the 27th on the basis the weather looks good.

Outoftown  on 17/06/17 @ 7:41 said:

Sadly, I still can't go if it's 27/6. Scottish trips interest me but I am not available until July/August and even then not as much as I would like. I'll keep checking the messages.

Alias   on 18/06/17 @ 7:47 said:

I can probably do 27th - 29th though long range weather doesn't look great for then either at the moment.

Alias   on 21/06/17 @ 0:04 said:

Weather still not looking great for 27th -29th. Other things popping up for me here, so leave till July /Aug?

androo   on 21/06/17 @ 8:41 said:

Arghh ... forecast is still wet - drat ! and its so warm down here !!. So I thinks its best to leave it just now. I'll have some time in the middle of July and August, so watch this space. Meanwhile, thanks for your interest

womble   on 21/06/17 @ 17:36 said:

The longer it gets put off, the more likely I'll know when I'm working and may be able to join you after all!

Outoftown  on 22/06/17 @ 23:28 said:

Brilliant. I'll keep watching.

androo   on 08/07/17 @ 9:18 said:

Sorry folks - going to have to cancel this; weather and other commitments have got in the way. Ill perhaps repost this in August.
