Highonahill

I had email conversations with a few guys and all seemed lovely. I met up with someone from the site and have started seeing him and am very hopeful that I won't be needing Outdoor Duo again!

Within a week on Outdoor Duo back in March 2017 ... one of my matches turned out to be my soul mate; and we are still happily together ... running, cycling, climbing, walking and planning new challenges

Would have loved to do this, but starting a new job at the beginning of June and don't know my exact schedule yet. Will keep an eye out for a change of date!

It will be fun and the date (and route) is flexible. If you have/need specific dates, ie a little later than the 9th, let me know.

androo: I think it's highly unlikely I'll be able to get enough time off until we're well into midgie season!

OK - weather looks showery for next weekend. So Ill likely move the date, unless I get someone real keen to get going!! Ill keep you all posted here. And thanks for the interest. Its a real nice walk but nicer with good weather

Great Trip!
Drove to Blair Atholl, parked the car on Tuesday and went directly up to the top of Cairn Liath. Weather a bit dull so avoided Ben a Ghlo and instead headed down Braigh Coire to a bridge on the Tilt. Spent the night in the Tarf Bothy. Next day was dull and showery so went on directly to Devils Point via White bridge and camped in the Lairig Ghru. The weather next day was slightly wet, dull and windy so 'escaped' to Aviemore via Lairig Ghru. Hitched a lift back to Blair Atholl and picked up my car then home to a hot bath.
Overall a nice 46 mile trip over the 3 days but would have liked to used my original 'higher level' route and walk slower, but weather was not good/clear enough.
