Just to clarify, as several of us did last year.
Vee showed us this route straight after we'd done the boating on Coniston Water, so Chris n i thought, it would be great to repeat it etc.
So after the boat lark, a 10 min drive n we'll be there, plenty of parking.
Its about 4-6 miles, just a little jaunt to compliment the boating, and were in the area too.
Plus a visit to the very impressive Hodge Close Quarries, a very photogenic area, for thos that fancy a drinky poo's after, The Three Shires pub close by, is one of the best pubs in the lakes

Had put my name down, but decided not to tempt fate with the dogs till Rohan steadier. I'll stick to boating and walking at the Lake.

Hi Sue ,if all dogs are on their leads ,in n around the quarry area ,then they'll be totally safe ,it would be a shame for you to miss the beautiful scenery from the fells behind ,I recce'd this route a month ago ,its a beauty

Sue + Dawgz   on 19/06/17 @ 17:55 said:

Not a problem I've walked that area with Vee. Rohan still pulling on the lead bit too much to make it fun. Thanks for the info though.
