After a great weekend last year Food Fest has moved down the valley to the grounds of Lullingstone Castle (between Eynsford and Shoreham) and returns with two stages and much more food and drink opportunities plus hot tubs and for those not wishing to camp at my (by then new place) you can do glamping there!

Chipping Norton & The Rollright Stones

Lots of history and great views on this north Cotswolds walk, visiting the ancient Rollright Stones with their tales of witchcraft. We return via a Salt Way, a disused railway and a castle. It is 10 miles with a Ramblers grading of moderate; typical rolling Cotswold terrain.

Little Langdale - Wetherlam - Cathedral Cave (Approx 8 miles)

A great walk from Little Langdale along tracks, then steeply up to Wetherlam. A subterranean underworld on the way back.

Weather dependent. Winter gear (ice axe/crampons or spikes) may be needed if there's snow. Good flashlight/head torch needed for the caverns.

Ambleside - Wansfell - Troutbeck Circular (8 miles)

A popular walk taking us up and out of Ambleside to Wansfell and possibly Baystones before dropping to the village of Troutbeck. Return via Skelgyhll Wood. Some steep ground early on.

Great views over Windermere.

Appropriate gear will be needed if there is snow cover.
