I might be. I lived in Ireland (in Waterford) in the 1970s/80s and although I walked a lot in the hills there I haven't done that one. It would be very beautiful - if the weather was kind!

Yes, you can't let the weather stop you - especially in Ireland. I started the Comeragh Mountaineering Club in the 70s (local mountains were the Comeraghs) which still going strong. We walked in lots of different area but never cancelled plans because of the weather. Norwich is not a good place to live if you like mountains! I also lived there for a while and everywhere hilly is a long way to go.

As above (cost and time)but I have enjoyed Dingle before - stunning. Please could you give details of the company so as to get an idea of the costs.

I may be interested too, always fancied doing some walking in southern Ireland. 🙂

I am very tempted but I going to be really mean (and honest) with you and say that I'll wait and see. I may be away for the Winter and unsure when I will be back right now.

If I were you, I would post something on the Invitation page, even if you haven't firmed up the dates yet so folk will get an alert and more will see it. This is a stunning bit of coastline.

It sounds lovely but doubt I could manage the penultimate day! The shorter option would be more suitable with something else added on for me I think. Thanks for supplying the company details may try this in 2017

There are some lovely hostels(or perhaps I should say there were - helpful aren't I?) I spent a week traveling about with my five? year old (~1988) so no tent was carried. However we were not trying to do the whole coast and did not have to think about how much food to carry for the places where food is not provided.

111 miles in 5 days my knees would not stand that pace! But I would be interested in general walking/biking in that area over 2/3 weeks to enjoy the culture. Went to the Macgillycuddy's Reeks about 7 years ago but a serious case of sciatica put a stop to the walking. Would like to go back and have another go plus do some coastal walking and mountain biking. I would take the Ferry from Fishguard and camp.
