SPIRIT OF OD
by Carpe Diem!SPIRIT OF OD
A POEM ……. INTRO …
I love to write and play with words, so while lounging around with a broken ankle, I wrote about OD…….and poems and writing are for sharing you see.
Like that spready stuff, some of you’ll love it ‘n some of you’ll ‘ate it. If the latter, then chew it up an’ spit it out, but if you love it, then roll it around your tongue and lick it dry, Peeps. Whatever…..please savour it for what it is – just a wee ditty.
I’d love to hear from any other “poets” (hah!).
It’s a-comin’ up now (as the farmhand muttered to the sheep…) ………can I put that here site admin?
All class gone, it really is below…….

we will never,
EVER frown
but smile through
another jaunt,
as our skills
we all do flaunt,
stridin' out,
intentful, sure
that we will always
be back for more!

as laughter fills
the air with glee

CDCarpe Diem! on 09/07/15 @ 21:33Can we all join in?
on 09/07/15 @ 22:01There once was a poor man called Jon
Who fell off his bike, he was gone
'Man up' said Jill
'Just take a pill'
But he ended up with a cast on
6 weeks of purgatory lay ahead
Day time TV and reruns of Bread
'So bored' he cried
Off the sofa he prised
To yearn at the mountains ahead
Thank goodness he has his OD mates
Who are amused at his ramblings of late
Soon the cast will be gone
The poet withdrawn
And the action man, hah, we'll await
Not sure why there's the big blank space😉

CDCarpe Diem! on 22/11/16 @ 18:16Cliff you've given us a whiff
of po-et-ry
that is not stiff,
instead it rhymes
with swell vocab
an' a word which I,
for one, will nab...
'tis "doggerel" - it's in the groove,
and tells us all
you're a poet...
...who's smooth
