Thanks Richard for an interesting and varied walk. And we continue to confound the weather forecasts! A record attendance for a WW. Great meeting folk I haven't seen in ages as well as the usual suspects.

Than you Richard for organising a Cheshire walk & sorry I had to leave early - perfect instructions back to the car.
Lovely to see everyone & thanks for making me feel so welcome. Special thanks for the delicious biscuits !🙂

Yes, a day full of treats, physical and mental! Minifeasts (thanks Pete), cheeky banter and wild, beautiful terrain, all topped off with a memorable pineapple and egg(s)-topped feast in the Poacher.Thank you Richard for your thoughtful leadership. Missed you Dek. J
(hope your arm is better today, HPM - pre-Karma for a poor attempt to reduce the size of my meal? 😀)

CDCarpe Diem!   on 03/08/17 @ 10:02

Great to have a midweek walk in my neck of the woods so cheers Richard for putting that on. Lovely to see everybody - thanks for your good company and all those biscuits and sweets!

clclearbluesky   on 03/08/17 @ 12:57

Richard, thank you so much for organising such a fantastic couple of days 🙂 I think we can safely say that your first time doing a WW (and a Tuesday Traipse!) was a complete success, despite you getting a bit anxious about the finer details.
You are now an official member of the WW committee...(but don't tell Jonathan!!😉😈)

I thought both walks were fab & the scenery along the Sandstone Trail was really lovely & varied. The pub was excellent for both food and accommodation and we were well looked after by the friendly staff.

Great company on both days, much better weather than expected and just lots of fun🙂

Thanks to all,
Tracey.xx🙂

Miss T: the "committee" which you have invited Richard onto is now but an obsolete, superfluous, irrelevant, archaic, musty fossil.
The new state-of-the-art, and infinitely more fashionable, Elite Committee formed yesterday is now where it's at...🙂

CDCarpe Diem!   on 03/08/17 @ 13:59

Carpe Diem!: Whatever you say J 😉

MTMiss T   on 03/08/17 @ 14:49

Jonathan. That is no way to talk about Richard, even if it's true.

Great walks Richard and we even packed the tent in the bag at the end.

LWLazlo Woodbine   on 03/08/17 @ 14:53

Miss T: ...really???😀

on 03/08/17 @ 14:56

Lazlo Woodbine: ha ha ... truth often hurts...🙂

CDCarpe Diem!   on 03/08/17 @ 14:57

Carpe Diem: Your numerous black balled attempts to gain a committee seat, are obviously starting to make you bitter!!!! 😋 😀 I would advise that when you have arranged and completed your White Nancy walk, you should re apply and hope that all the black balls previously thrown determinedly into the hat will reduce or disappear!!! 🙂
Richard: Congratulations on becoming the WW recruitment secretary and for organising a couple of superb days!!!! 🙂

HiHighpeakman   on 03/08/17 @ 15:08

An excellent mini Cheshire break, revisiting some favourite places: many thanks R1chard for organising such a lovely time! Many thanks also to HPM for swooshing so gallantly to the rescue below, Indiana Jones indeedy...still giggling at the memory of that...but really hope no permanent scarring....Brill gatherings, great folk. XOX

JJJo J   on 03/08/17 @ 16:47

Jo J: Only permanent scarring was to the brain!!! 🙂

HiHighpeakman   on 03/08/17 @ 17:22

well a wonderful couple of days and thank you Richard for that and thanks to Pete for the cookies and a special thanks to Jo J for sharing her bottle of beautiful red wine with me and as always it was nice to see Lady Tren-th-am mixing with the rifraf but yes it was great to share a couple of days with all of the OD gang.

MiMitch   on 03/08/17 @ 18:14

Highpeakman: 😀...the "black balls" along with the rest of your dubious equipment have faded into oblivion. The New Elite Committee are rising to the new dawn with vibrancy and undoubted panache...
Please don't feel crushed ...in a coupla years we'll invite you to wash our cups...😋

CDCarpe Diem!   on 03/08/17 @ 18:34

Mitch: Only riff raff can't spell riff raff!!! 😀

HiHighpeakman   on 03/08/17 @ 19:09

Highpeakman thank for pointing out my bad spelling, as always our elite Wednesday Wander Committee are there to give a guiding hand in everything we riff raff do, such an high office which is a position i hasten to add some people will never get to aspire to, such a high office that no matter how high and hard they try or how low they grovel it will always be unreachable. 😀

MiMitch   on 03/08/17 @ 19:44

I reckon it is a good idea to avoid committees wherever possible...Huzzah for sharing wine instead, that's what wine is for!🙂

JJJo J   on 03/08/17 @ 19:48

Thanks to Richard for a great couple of days, nice to get over to "t'other side". Good to see all the reprobates again. Who won the skittles bowl-out?

WOWalking On   on 03/08/17 @ 20:30

Walking On: c'mon mate ....need you ask?

on 03/08/17 @ 21:07

Jo J: Mitch: Highpeakman: it's action now guys, not waffle ...😀

CDCarpe Diem!   on 03/08/17 @ 21:10

Walking On: Miss T and Loran!

JJJo J   on 03/08/17 @ 21:16

Jo1: ha ha ..what is it about the raft raft? 😀😀😀

CDCarpe Diem!   on 03/08/17 @ 22:35

Miss T and Loran: congratulations, demon bowlers. Would have liked to stay for this, but was booked for a BBQ on a very waterlogged campsite under intermittent showers.

WOWalking On   on 03/08/17 @ 23:00

well what can I say! Many thanks to everyone for driving the extra mile or three, ignoring a poor weather forecast and coming on my inaugural TT&WW; so glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

R1R1chard   on 04/08/17 @ 22:40

Jo1: ...get a new one then 😉

CDCarpe Diem!   on 05/08/17 @ 0:18
