lalandranger68 on 21/07/17 @ 19:18womble: I once bought a large tin of fly repellent for use on horses as thought it would also be good for me. Luckily found out it was carsinogenic

I have one of those credit card sized tick removers in my first aid kit. Its really effective and easy to use. To contract Lyme disease the tick needs to go unnoticed for some time, so the sooner its out the better.
Site Admin on 26/07/17 @ 12:32Be very careful how you remove any ticks. Definitely advisable to use the proper tool as on no account should you grip them because this will squeeze their gut contents ditectly into your bloodstream..🤔
on 26/07/17 @ 17:53Secondly if no tool available it is best to suffocate the little devil till it lets go. I found smothering with Vaseline excellent for this but sure something similar would work just as well .🤔
