I have never heard of this man,but his passing must have meant so much to the athletic community he was so much a part of.I feel certain that there will be an ultimate challenge event that will be challengeng enough to bear his name

Yes, Don was greatly admired and respected in the ultra-distance and wider athletic community. He, and Cavin Woodward too, put up some tremendous performances in the 1970s, and they were inspirational heroes to me. Sadly, Cavin died from a heart attack in 2010 %u2013 he was just 62. I was lucky enough to have known them both 🙂.
