Thank you to everyone for the pleasure of their company. Both Horseshoe's are very challenging and Moel Siabod is a sweetie in its own right with I would argue the best views of all, the Carneddau, the Glyderau and Snowdon massif perfectly laid out before you. Thanks to everyone for making it a great weekend, with the logistics Sat too and topped off with fab accommodation and weather. Precision engineering at its finest, thanks all. xx

Indeed a splendid weekend all round having arrived in time to order dinner on Fri evening, catching up with some previous snowdonia adventurers Sat and Sun was great scrambling weather to get some great moves in on those grippling rocks...We had fun smiles dances & laughter on the roof tops of Wales...with great company new and old...

Thanks Catherine for all your effort. Really enjoyed Cwm Eiger walk. Wish I could have stayed for the rest of the w/e but the Alps beckon...

Thank you again Catherine for arranging the accommodation and the 3 walks,a truly excellent weekend shared with great company over some of the best scrambling Snowdonia has to offer, the highlight of my summer i'am sure.

It was a great weekend, many thanks to Catherine for putting it on, and many thanks to the rest for your wonderful company, my legs are a bit stiff today hope everybody else's are too, sign of a good walking weekend, and its not fair if I'm the only one suffering.

I promise everybody that you will make a total and full recovery. At least we finished with the correct number of people, which I am quite relieved about. Practice makes perfect, dreaming about Trfan and the Glyders, Watkin path to Snowdon and Yr Aran and maybe Y Garn and Elidir Fawr from Nant Peris. Those would be tougher walks with more ascent. Practice makes perfect

Billy: I can feel it a bit in the quads and lower back – I always find the descents quite difficult. It looks like Catherine is planning even more punishment!

Catherine . many thanks for conceiving the idea of a 3 day weekend. I could get used to them...
It really was good , ambitious but with your planning, well executed and achievable.

Lovely to meet new people and to meet up with those I see every now and again.
Hope you all have a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you all again.

Thank you Catherine and to the people who drove on Friday and of course the logistics machine which sprung into action on Saturday to make sure everybody was collected and delivered safely back in time for pizza.

Thanks Catherine for three excellent walks in glorious weather; I can't remember the last time I did so much scrambling!

Thank you for all the lovely comments, the wine, the chocolates, the best steak I've ever had and great pictures you've all posted; but is was all of you that made it a successful weekend, I just made a couple of phone calls. We saw a glimpse of Snowdonia at her best, stunningly beautiful and serene, but don't be fooled. The pleasure was all mine, thank you for coming and watch this space for Episode 2. xx

Helvellyn40   on 21/06/17 @ 19:35 said:

M3: So is it going to be Tryfan and Bristly ridge for episode 2 ?

M3   on 22/06/17 @ 16:36 said:

Helvellyn40: It may even be Everest base camp, who knows?

Helvellyn40   on 22/06/17 @ 21:00 said:

M3: Better start altitude training then.

alpine hiker   on 22/06/17 @ 21:01 said:

I'm in for Tryfan etc

Aspiring  on 23/06/17 @ 0:31 said:

Thanks Catherine (somewhat belatedly) for organising a brilliant w/e - fantastic walks and scrambles in the best weather Snowdonia has to offer (laid on specially)shared with a great bunch of like-minded folk. It was a perfect introduction to OD for me. Looking forward to the next invitation that takes my fancy and hope to see you all again on some hill or other!

M3   on 23/06/17 @ 22:22 said:

Ok Everest may be slightly optimistic for this stage of the game but there's plenty of time for that. Trfan etc it is then, at some point.

Hello Catherine. I'm really dissapointed I couldn't make this weekend of incredible walks/scrambles. However....if you do think of doing another I have a couple of worthy contenders for your consideration. My first suggestion would be the Llech Ddu Spur on Carnedd Dafydd and I noticed a reference to Tryfan earlier. With that in mind I would say......Tryfan by the Heather Terrace. I haven't done either route before. So they would need to be reccied.......What do you think?

Ian
