Tryfan can be very hard if you go the wrong way..... One of the problems is that there is no easy to follow path. If they are reasonably fit, going up via Bwlch Tryfan should be achievable but it is not as interesting as the scrambling routes. You do have to watch where you are putting your feet though.
I would highly recommend the north ridge, although navigating can be difficult there are usually people who have done it before who can give you pointers. The general idea is to keep going up but don't climb yourself into trouble. If you find yourself faced with only a hard climb ahead and not too confident it's probably best to skirt round and find an easier route, even if it means a little downclimb. It's a fabulous mountain to summit and gives you a real sense of achievement.
I've had the advise never go down the north side that where and how the fatalities are happening. Dave i'm up and doing it on 15th with some friends but i'm not leading the route - hoping for some good weather

mimintsauce96 on 23/08/17 @ 10:05Don't go up anything you wouldn't want to go back down 🙂
TCTC on 23/08/17 @ 17:19How hard can Tryfan be? Very if you are wearing diving boots and carrying a fridge.
LWLazlo Woodbine on 23/08/17 @ 19:01A fit person should be able to manage it quite easily though, particularly if it remains dry.
